Memorias de Cristóbal Colón, de Stephen Marlowe
Stephen Marlowe was an American writer (New York, 1928- Williamsburg, Virginia, 2008) specializing in science fiction, mystery and biographies. This book appeared in 1987 and was translated into 14 languages, arousing in France a new interest in Columbus, a man on whom, in Marlowe's words, nobody knew anything before his first voyage and not much later, since he did not know It was a man but a legend: the name has surpassed man. Streets, avenues, squares, schools, airports, El Salvador's currency, a city in Panama and even a space station bear its name today.
